Welcome to The Penguin Custom Ice Cream!  We have two locations, the newest is in the heart of the Catskill Mountains, beautiful Delaware County, Walton, New York, and another in Cooperstown, New York, home of the National Baseball Hall of Fame and the Cooperstown Dreams Park.  Our new location in Walton, at 74 Delaware Street, features our convenient, walk up windows, as well as air conditioned or heated inside seating.  We have a dining room for Birthday Parties, Custom Luncheons, or as a gathering place for your group!  Our stores are family owned & operated by Dan, Valerie & Crystal Hitt.

We pride ourselves in our friendly, fun & clean atmosphere. Our motto is personal, customized service. Special requests are "no problem"! Our customers really enjoy making up their own flavors of custom ice cream. That is what we are all about.

Most people who are not familiar with The Penguin Custom Ice Cream ask "how do I order?, how do you make all those different flavors?"

First, we start with premium hard vanilla or chocolate ice cream, or we also have available frozen vanilla yogurt and frozen NSA vanilla. Our flavor board lists a lot of possible suggestions and our most popular flavors, but the sky's the limit!! Any of our fresh fruit & candy ingredients can be mixed to create a unique flavor of your own. How about chocolate, peanut butter cup cheesecake? Each serving is made as you order it, so it is truly "custom". After choosing your flavor & ingredients, we put them through our custom ice cream blending machine. Your order comes out as soft serve ice cream, but with the smooth, creamy texture of hard ice cream. It can be in a cone or dish or can be used in your favorite sundae or banana split.
